Corinthians supporters were held inside Couto Pereira on Sunday night after clashes with the Military Police outside the ground.

With the away section full, Corinthians were beaten 2-1 by the hosts, Raniele scoring in stoppage time. According to Meu Timao, the confrontation outside began near one of the away exits, where members of a Coritiba organised group were present.

Officers intervened to separate the groups, using rubber bullets and tear gas. The dispersal led police to order all visiting fans back into the stadium.

A supporter identified as "Nikão" criticised the approach, alleging beatings, rubber bullet shots that struck children and officers climbing on a supporter’s car.

Fans remained inside for about 20 minutes before being released. The subsequent exit passed without further incident for both coach convoys of the organised groups and other travellers.

Corinthians are next in action on Sunday at 16:00 against Santos at Neo Química Arena in the 25th round of the Brasileirão.
