Corinthians fans held a third protest in four days on Saturday morning at Parque São Jorge, demanding judicial intervention and the exit of club leaders.
According to Globo.com, hundreds gathered at the social club’s main gate in São Paulo’s east, singing lines from the samba Reunião de Bacana.
Banners called for a clean-up of Corinthians and the departure of "ratazanas", a term used for political figures. President Osmar Stabile, vice-president Armando Mendonça, Conselho Deliberativo president Romeu Tuma Júnior and councillor André Negão were named.
The mobilisation began earlier in the week, with supporters gathering outside the Public Prosecutor’s Office in central São Paulo on Wednesday. On Thursday they displayed messages in the north stand at Neo Química Arena during the Libertadores match against Rosario Central.
Later that night, Corinthians beat the Argentine side and reached the Conmebol Libertadores quarter-finals.
The movement was coordinated on social media and backed by organised groups Gaviões da Fiel, Camisa 12, Pavilhão 9, Estopim da Fiel, Coringão Chopp and Fiel Macabra.
Fans cite repeated mismanagement and debt of R$ 2.7 billion. Corinthians visit Coritiba at Couto Pereira on Sunday at 19:30, Brasília time, in round 24 of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
