A group of Corinthians female supporters gathered at Fazendinha on Wednesday night to protest what they described as neglect of the Brabas and the continuing ban on night matches. It has been nine months since the team last played there under lights, and they highlighted the Brabas’ status as world runners-up and Libertadores and Brazilian champions. They urged the club to fix the floodlights and called on fans to join monthly oversight.

According to Meu Timao, the Federação Paulista de Futebol formally barred night games at the ground in May 2025 after failures in the floodlights, which the club attributed to gradual deterioration. In the Paulistão Feminino opener against Red Bull Bragantino, 32 lights were out.

Corinthians submitted a technical plan outlining a 9 May inspection, project design and budgeting between May and July 2025, phased modernisation from August, and completion later that year. The timetable was not met. Director of women’s football Iris Sesso later said the club would not resolve the issue in 2025, adding the process required studies, bespoke projects and procurement rather than simple bulb or wiring changes.

The problem remains unresolved and players have pressed for a return to Fazendinha. The new Brasileiro Feminino fixture list, published on Wednesday, has all Corinthians matches in the first 10 rounds scheduled at night, with venues still to be confirmed.

Unable to use Fazendinha after dark, the club have hired alternative venues on six occasions, three at José Liberatti, plus Canindé and Pacaembu, the latter for two games. The two Pacaembu dates produced a combined loss of R$ 118,407.75. Fazendinha also hosts youth matches for both men and women, and all night fixtures there are currently prohibited.
