Corinthians Feminino continued to make history. A 1-0 win over United States side Gotham FC in the FIFA Champions Cup semi-final secured a place in the final, the first club world championship.

According to Meu Timao, it is their 29th final since the programme was reactivated in 2016. They qualified by winning the 2025 Libertadores, defeating Deportivo Cali on penalties.

The tournament's earlier stages featured Auckland United of New Zealand and Wuhan Jianhan of China. The final phase in London also involved Arsenal and Morocco's AS FAR.

Since 2016, Corinthians have missed the final in only seven competitions, the 2016 Brasileiro, the 2016, 2017 and 2022 Paulista, the 2020 and 2022 Libertadores, and the 2025 Copa do Brasil.

Of their 28 finals to date, they have won 22, finishing runners-up in six, the 2017 and 2019 Brasileiro, the 2018, 2024 and 2025 Paulista, and the 2025 Supercopa Feminina.

The Champions Cup final against Arsenal is on Sunday 1 February at 15:00 Brasília time at the Emirates Stadium in London.
