Corinthians were fined R$ 10,000 by the STJD on Monday for an unauthorised marketing action during a Brasileirão Feminino match against Santos.

According to Globo.com, during the National Anthem in that game on the ninth of August, defender Thaís Regina held a lip balm to the cameras to publicise the product "Lip Oil As Brabas", recently launched by a cosmetics company in partnership with Corinthians' women's team.

The STJD deemed the action irregular because it lacked commercial authorisation for the competition.

The club was charged under article 191 of the CBJD, which covers non-compliance with competition regulations. The fifth Disciplinary Commission delivered the decision, with a right of appeal to the Pleno.

The fixture at Canindé finished 4-1 to Corinthians.
