Corinthians Futsal keeper coach on prep for Magnus derby

Corinthians begins another decisive match this Tuesday (4), in the National Futsal League (LNF). At the Wlamir Marques Gymnasium, Timão hosts Magnus for the first leg of the quarterfinals, starting at 9 PM (Brasília time). Goalkeepers will be key players in these decisive encounters.

“We conducted training today with the goalkeepers, aiming to develop goal defense. We added some activity mannequins to simulate certain game situations, bringing the activity closer to the reality of the game. The goal is to prepare them in the best possible way for this end of the season. We are preparing for the quarterfinals of the National League and the semifinals of the Paulista Championship”, said Jonatas Bursaca, the team's goalkeeper coach.

Timão is experiencing a good recent phase in the season, winning six games and drawing one in the last seven matches. The sequence includes qualification in the LNF round of 16 against Carlos Barbosa, as well as a victory over Pulo Campinas in the quarterfinals of the Paulista Championship.

A starter this season and one of the standout names for Corinthians in futsal, Lucas Oliveira is expected to start the match in the goal. Thus, coach Fernando Malafaia is likely to field his best available lineup, sending a quintet composed of Lucas Oliveira, Lucas Martins, Maicon, Igor Carioca, and Deives to the court.
