Corinthians are negotiating a sponsorship that could stabilise the women’s football budget this season, and would also cover futsal and basketball.

Rádio Coringão reports the unnamed company is ready to pay over five times the club’s asking price for those assets, making it one of Corinthians’ biggest deals.

The women’s department welcomes the proposal amid strain. Renewals expiring in December have stalled, with seven players only contracted until the end of the year.

The funds would aid recruitment. An attempt to bring back forward Gabi Nunes was rejected after a low initial offer, and she becomes a free agent next month when her Aston Villa deal ends.

Full-back Antônia of Real Madrid is another target, but it is harder as she is tied until mid 2027 and has also been sounded out by Palmeiras.

Corinthians are reorganising image-rights payments for the women’s squad, which were due on the 15th. Sums also remain outstanding from the Libertadores Feminina prize in October 2025 and the Copa das Campeões da Fifa runners-up bonus in February.

For futsal and basketball, the deal would support departments facing planned cuts under president Osmar Stabile. He even floated ending professional futsal, yet under Deives they finished runners-up in the Paulista and the Liga Nacional de Futsal.

The board projects terrestrial sports to drop from R$ 26 million in 2025 to R$ 17 million in 2026, about 35%. Basketball, fresh from a first NBB semi-final, would be hardest hit.
