Corinthians have been holding meetings with Caixa Econômica Federal over the bank potentially taking the Arena naming rights, with talks built around a valuation of the asset.

Itatiaia reports the latest meeting was on Monday, when president Osmar Stabile sat down with Caixa representatives to agree a reference value to test the asset’s market potential.

The initial valuation deadline has passed, and Caixa has asked for more time before giving a formal response. In February, the bank launched a tender to hire a firm to run the process.

Inside the club, the possible switch is viewed with optimism, and some close to the talks describe the agreement as well advanced.

A new deal is seen as a path to settle the stadium debt owed to Caixa, currently about R$ 660 million.

Progress could be aided by a lower break fee. In August 2025 it was set that the penalty for ending the Hypera Pharma contract early would fall gradually to around R$ 50 million.

Hypera’s agreement, signed in September 2020, totals R$ 300 million across 20 annual instalments of R$ 15 million, indexed to the IGP-M. Each yearly payment now sits at roughly R$ 21 million.

Behind the scenes, the target is a new 10-year contract worth up to three times the present deal. Interest has also come from Hypera Pharma, betting firms and banking company PicPay, with at least four brands in talks.
