Corinthians had a hectic Tuesday, spanning boardroom friction, a planned on-pitch welcome for Jesse Lingard and progress on stadium debt.

According to Meu Timao, president Osmar Stábile is preparing a formal representation against Romeu Tuma Júnior, who chairs the Deliberative Council. The document is to be sent to the club’s Ethics Council.

The club are planning a special presentation for Lingard during the match against Coritiba. The midfielder will step onto the pitch at half-time to greet supporters.

The club have also settled the first instalment linked to construction of the Neo Química Arena with Caixa Econômica Federal. It is the first of four quarterly payments.

These developments underline a busy day encompassing governance, fan engagement and long-term infrastructure commitments.
