Corinthians lifetime councillors Ademir Benedito, Alexandre Husni and Guilherme Strenger have filed three court bids to halt Saturday’s General Assembly on statute reform, after a ruling last Friday validated the vote.

According to Meu Timao, one motion went to the 3rd Civil Court in Tatuapé and two to the 4th Private Law Chamber of the São Paulo state court.

The first filing, a notice of non-compliance, asks desembargador Maurício Campos da Silva Velho to enforce his earlier suspension amid continued publicity and preparations. They seek to stop all preparations, fine CD president Romeu Tuma Júnior R$ 50,000, and refer the case to prosecutors.

The second filing reports an appeal against the first instance sentence that validated the procedure. The councillors ask for suspensive effect and provisional relief so the AG does not occur on Saturday.

The third is the appeal itself to the TJ-SP, arguing the question is whether a duly formed proposal exists under the Statute, not AG competence. They cite article 97, which assigns Cori the power to propose changes, say Cori rejected the base text, and contest turning it into a valid proposal elsewhere.

They also allege a breach of article 81, requiring a one year gap, meaning only from May 2027. The appellants seek nullity for limited reasoning on article 97 and to overturn the ruling. Maurício Campos da Silva Velho will decide on suspension and suspensive effect, and for now the vote remains set for Saturday.
