In addition to midfielder Pedrinho, Corinthians may be without another young player during November’s FIFA international break.
Defender Bruno Méndez has been named to the initial Uruguay squad for the clash against Hungary on the 15th of next month, as well as a duel to be set on the 19th.
However, the initial list which has been released by Uruguayans are to inform foreign clubs that their athletes could potentially be called into action.
Uruguay still must release the list of domestic players, so Mendez’s final selection is very much in the air.
According to the note from the Uruguayan Football Association, manager Óscar Tabárez will release the definitive list ‘in the coming weeks’.
The 20-year-old has only been called into the Uruguay squad once, making a pair of appearances in 1-0 friendly losses to Brazil and France last November.
