Corinthians meet Internacional again after Yuri Alberto hat-trick

Corinthians and Internacional meet again this Wednesday, October 1st, for the second round of the Brasileirão, in the 26th round. The match kicks off on the Beira-Rio field, in Porto Alegre, starting at 7:30 PM (Brasília time), in a direct confrontation between teams in the second half of the table.

The last time this interstate classic took place was in the first half of the year, also for the Brasileirão, but at the Neo Química Arena, on May 3rd. On that occasion, it was the second game under Dorival Júnior's command, and Timão won 4-2, with goals from Yuri Alberto, three times, and Igor Coronado.

On that occasion, Corinthians took to the field with a lineup consisting of Hugo Souza; Matheuzinho, André Ramalho, Cacá, and Hugo Farias; Raniele, José Martínez, André Carrillo, and Ángel Romero; Yuri Alberto and Memphis Depay.

In this game, the team led by Dorival opened the scoring in the first half with the number 9, but saw Colorado turn the game around before halftime. In the second half, Yuri Alberto scored again and tied the match, achieving the comeback in stoppage time. The striker will have to serve a suspension in the next match.

Currently, both teams are in complicated situations on the table. Internacional recently changed coaches and has Ramón Díaz, a former Corinthians coach, at the helm. On the other hand, Timão managed to advance in the Copa do Brasil but is struggling in the Brasileirão with only 29 points, one more than their opponent.
