One month into Brazil’s first transfer window, Corinthians have lifted a FIFA ban, added reinforcements, seen moves stall and overseen eight departures. According to Meu Timao, this work spans the men’s and women’s teams.
The ban ended on 9 January after R$ 41.6 million was paid to Santos Laguna. Corinthians had been blocked since 12 August, and cleared the debt using Liga Forte União income and Copa do Brasil prize money.
Post-ban, four signings were confirmed: Gabriel Paulista arrived on a free and scored in the Supercopa Rei final against Flamengo, Matheus Pereira on a one-year loan with an option to buy, Pedro Milans to 31 December 2029, and Kaio César on loan with a €6 million option for 50%. Goalkeeper João Ricardo has an agreement in place, with medicals planned between March and April, and will join if he passes.
A move for São Paulo’s Alisson collapsed over a R$ 1 million loan charge and other demands. Dorival Júnior said enquiries for Gerson and Malcom did not advance due to costs.
Eight players left: Héctor Hernández terminated his deal to join Gil Vicente, Fagner departed, and there were loans for Félix Torres to Internacional, Diego Palácios to Universidad Católica and Ryan to Fortaleza. Maycon, Talles Magno and Ángel Romero were not renewed.
Talks continue over Fabrizio Angileri’s future after his contract expired, with mutual interest. The women’s side added five signings, including Agustina Barroso and Belén Aquino, completed eight renewals, and saw limited exits, with Mariza moving to Tigres.
