Corinthians have opened negotiations with Grêmio with a view to bringing Luan to São Paulo next season.
GloboEsporte.com have reported that the two clubs are currently in talks on what could be quite a complex deal.
Corinthians are ready to acquire 50% of the striker’s economic rights, and they are also said to be willing to involve other players in the transaction.
Luan has long been a target of Corinthians, and the 26-year-old is likely to be attracted by a move to the club he supported as a boy.
He joined Grêmio in 2014 and helped them land the Copa Libertadores in 2017.
That success led to offers from Europe and Asia for the target man, but Grêmio were able to convince Luan to stay in Porto Alegre.
Luan, who has notched nine goals in 36 games this season, is contracted with Grêmio until December 2020.
