According to Meu Timao, Corinthians held a partially open training session at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava on Friday afternoon, with new signing Kaio César involved as preparations continued for the Supercopa do Brasil. The 21-year-old forward has joined on loan from Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia, with a deal running until December 2026.
The workout had been scheduled to be fully closed, but a power outage caused by heavy rain delayed Kaio César’s unveiling to the afternoon after training. The club therefore allowed the first 15 minutes to be viewed by the media.
Reporters observed around 10 minutes of warm-ups with passing and movement. Players then split into two groups for rondos before journalists were sent inside.
Right-back Matheuzinho and forward Memphis Depay were held back from the opening phase as a precaution, then joined the remainder of the session.
Centre-back João Pedro Tchoca was absent, his loan to Torino cancelled after he reportedly failed a medical. José Martínez has yet to return from holiday and remains in Venezuela to resolve a work visa.
After training, Kaio César’s presentation was cancelled and is expected to be rearranged next week. Corinthians continue preparations on Saturday and face Flamengo on Sunday at 16:00 at Mané Garrincha in the Supercopa do Brasil decider.
