Corinthians have confirmed that André Ramalho and Fabrizio Angileri sat out Thursday’s session as preparations continue for Sunday’s derby with Santos.
The club said in a statement that Ramalho worked in the gym while recovering from labyrinthitis, and Angileri is recuperating from a dental procedure, remaining indoors at CT Joaquim Grava.
Both were also absent on Wednesday when the squad reconvened. Gabriel Paulista, Matheus Bidu and André Carrillo were managed for workload after minor pain, and Paulista and Bidu featured in club footage on Thursday.
Ramalho, 34, has been sidelined since the first leg of the Libertadores round of 16 against Rosario Central at the Estádio Gigante de Arroyito, having been hospitalised with labyrinthitis. He has been training individually.
The Argentine left-back played in Sunday’s 2-1 defeat at Coritiba at Couto Pereira in the Brasileirão. His tooth extraction had been scheduled for a week without matches.
Despite potential absences, Fernando Diniz should have reinforcements. Goalkeeper Hugo Souza, recovered from a knee strain, trained fully on Wednesday. Striker Yuri Alberto returned to partial work and began physical transition after a grade two right hamstring injury.
Corinthians have two more sessions before hosting Santos. The derby is set for Sunday, 30, at 16:00 at the Neo Química Arena in the 25th round of the Brasileirão.
