Corinthians players called up for Brazil U20 women's friendly

At the beginning of the evening this Thursday, October 23, the Brazilian National Team faced Mexico in a friendly match at the Onésio Brasileiro Alvarenga Stadium in Goiânia, winning by a score of 3-0. During the match, two Corinthians athletes were brought on, both in the second half: right-back Rafa Rocha and midfielder Gaby Tomé.

To start the match, coach Camila Orlando lined up the following team: Elu; Sofia, Ana Bia, Isabella, Nayara, Samara, Dudinha, Julia, Vitorinha, Gisele, and Carioca. Rafa Rocha and Gaby Tomé started the friendly on the bench alongside: Sarah, Faichel, Sarah, Milenna, Bia Martins, Ana Vidal, Kaline, Tainá Santos, Claridinha, Aninha, Adrielly, Thay, and Cury.

Gaby Tomé was brought on at halftime as one of three substitutions, and right-back Rafa Rocha came on at 19 minutes into the second half. All three goals for the Seleção were scored in the second half, precisely after the Corinthians players entered the game, both contributing effectively to the victory.

Both teams will face each other again next Sunday at the Estádio Olímpico Ludovico Teixeira, in Goiânia, with the time to be determined by the national federation. These friendlies are part of the preparation for the 2026 South American Championship in the category, which will be held between February 4 and 28 – the host city is yet to be defined by Conmebol.
