Corinthians' position after six rounds of the 2026 Campeonato Paulista

On the evening of Thursday (5th), Corinthians hosted Capivariano at the Neo Química Arena, in a match valid for the sixth round of the first phase of the 2026 Campeonato Paulista, and won by a score of 3-0. The goals for the Alvinegro were scored by midfielder Dieguinho, as well as forwards Gui Negão and Kayke. With this result, the Corinthians team regains fourth place in the overall standings of the state championship with 11 points (three wins, two draws, and one loss – eight goals scored and five conceded).

Guarani has the same number of points as Corinthians, but trails on goal difference and, therefore, appears in fifth place. Novorizontino leads the state championship with 13 points, followed by Palmeiras and Red Bull Bragantino, both with 12 points, in second and third place respectively. In sixth to eighth place are: Portuguesa (nine points), as well as Mirassol and São Bernardo FC, both teams with eight points.

In ninth to 14th positions are: Botafogo (eight points), Primavera (seven points), Capivariano (seven points), São Paulo (seven points), Noroeste (seven points), and Santos (six points). Meanwhile, in the relegation zone are: Velo Clube (four points) and Ponte Preta (one point). After securing three points against the team from the countryside, the Alvinegro is preparing to return to the field for the state championship on Sunday (8th), at 8:30 pm (Brasília time).

The club from Parque São Jorge will host Palmeiras at the Neo Química Arena, in a Derby valid for the seventh and penultimate round of the first phase of the 2026 Campeonato Paulista.
