Corinthians stepped up technical drills at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava on Friday morning as they prepared for Fluminense in the Brasileirão. The sides meet on Sunday, 20, at 16:00 at Neo Química Arena in round 28.

According to Meu Timao, members of organised supporter groups visited the training ground, speaking with team leaders, head coach Fernando Diniz and directors Marcelo Paz and Julio Cesar. The meeting followed a stronger-toned protest by Gaviões da Fiel over the Libertadores exit.

The session began with gym activation, then a pitch warm-up. Coaches set up a possession drill with crosses and finishing, before splitting the squad into three teams of eight for small-sided games.

Corinthians were knocked out of the continental quarter-finals by Estudiantes on Wednesday at Neo Química Arena. After a 1-1 draw in La Plata in the first leg, the visitors scored late in Itaquera, and in stoppage time Memphis sent the chance to equalise over the bar.

In the league, the team are on a run of five defeats since beating Red Bull Bragantino in early August. They have lost to Cruzeiro 2-1, Coritiba 2-1, Santos 1-0, Chapecoense 2-1 and Flamengo 2-1, with three of those at home.

Final preparations take place on Saturday morning. Corinthians sit 14th on 32 points.
