Corinthians reach 15th Paulistão quarter-final of the century, face Portuguesa on Sunday | OneFootball

Corinthians begin the Paulistão knockout at Canindé on Sunday at 20:30, their 15th quarter-final of the century, against Portuguesa.

The tie will be played away after Portuguesa finished fourth overall and Corinthians fifth. According to Meu Timao, tickets are expected to go on sale on Tuesday.

The quarter-final was staged in 2003, then the competition went straight to the semi-finals before the round returned in 2011. Across this period, Corinthians missed the knockouts only twice, in 2014 and 2024.

Since the current format was adopted, Corinthians have contested 13 quarter-finals and progressed 11 times. The exceptions came in 2012 against Ponte Preta and in 2023 against Ituano.

In 2025, then led by Ramón Díaz, they beat Mirassol 2-0 with goals from Memphis Depay and Ángel Romero. They later eliminated Santos in the semi-final and defeated Palmeiras in the final.
