Corinthians register new midfielder for Campeonato Paulista

Minutes after his official announcement, midfielder Allan, 28 years old, was registered by Corinthians for the 2026 Paulista Championship. With this, the new Corinthians number 29 is, in theory, available to face São Bernardo FC next Sunday (15th), at 8:30 pm (Brasília time), in ABC Paulista, for the eighth and final round of the first phase of the state championship.

The deadline for registering new athletes for the Paulista Championship ends this Friday (13th), according to the regulations of the Federação Paulista de Futebol (FPF). So far, there are 27 athletes registered on List A – intended for professional squad players, with 35 possible spots. For the knockout stage, four changes can be made, which can be done until next Friday, the 20th.

Just like Allan, left-back Fabrizio Angileri was also registered for the state championship after the official announcement of his contract renewal until December 2026. On List B, in turn, intended for players developed in the youth categories, there is no limit to registrations. At Corinthians, there are currently eight names on this list. To be part of it, one must be at least 16 years old and have been registered with the club for at least six months.

Allan joined Corinthians on loan, with a purchase option set at two million euros (a little over R$ 12 million), until the end of the season. At Corinthians, he arrives to compete for the defensive midfielder position, which currently has Raniele as the undisputed starter. The arrival of the player had coach Dorival Júnior as an important factor. According to statements from the player himself, the two spoke about a possible move to Parque São Jorge over the phone, which ended up facilitating the negotiations.

In an interview with Corinthians TV, the midfielder commented on the reception he received from the staff at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava and the players. He also highlighted his excitement to wear the club’s shirt at Parque São Jorge: “I was anxious to get here and I was very well received by everyone. Not just the players, but also the club’s staff. Now it’s time to work, I did my first training session, I felt good, I felt at home, I’m super happy and now it’s time to play and bring more and more joy to all the fans. I won’t deny it, as I said, it was my dream to be here and to be able to fulfill it after so long on this football journey, it’s been very satisfying and I will give my all for the club and I hope to bring you a lot of joy. Fala Fiel, I count on your support this year, there will be no lack of effort from us, we will achieve many things together this year. Thanks, we’re together.”

Allan’s Career, Corinthians’ New Signing

Developed in Internacional’s youth academy, midfielder Allan has experience with clubs abroad, having played in Finland, Belgium, Germany, Cyprus, and England. In 2019, he returned to Brazil to play for Fluminense, then managed by Fernando Diniz. Later, in 2020, he was acquired by Atlético-MG, where he stayed until 2022, winning the Campeonato Mineiro, Copa do Brasil, and Campeonato Brasileiro.

Since 2023, he had been at Flamengo, but in recent months, he lost his place in Filipe Luís’ team and was consequently put on the transfer list. In 2026, he played only once for the Rubro-Negro. At the Rio club, he won the state championship (2024 and 2025), Copa do Brasil (2024), Brasileirão (2025), and Conmebol Libertadores (2025).
