They now sit 13th on 32 points. Vasco, the first team inside the drop zone, have 28 and a game in hand, trimming the Parque São Jorge side’s buffer to four points.

Corinthians host Fluminense next Sunday, 20, at 16:00 at Neo Química Arena in the league. Before that, they face Estudiantes on Wednesday at 21:30 in Itaquera for a place in the Libertadores semi-finals.
