Corinthians have posted a March deficit of R$ 131.4m, 258.9% above the R$ 36.540m budgeted.

According to Globo.com, the club said the shortfall was driven by postponing player sales. It had expected R$ 75m net by March 2026 but delayed deals to prioritise the Conmebol Libertadores.

On the first of March, Corinthians rejected a €17m offer from Milan for midfielder André, worth R$ 103m at the time. Completing that sale might have produced a positive result.

President Osmar Stabile has pushed planned sales to the second half window, projecting €25m net, R$ 144.1m, from exits. Revenues were brought forward and a loan was extended to keep cash available.

If players had been sold in the first window and instalments of the Copa do Brasil prize and taxes on the Santos Laguna of Mexico debt for Félix Torres had not been paid, the deficit would have been R$ 17.540m, below the budgeted figure.

From January to March, gross operating revenue reached R$ 206.806m, including R$ 92.492m from sponsorships, R$ 39.928m from broadcast rights and R$ 39.114m from gate receipts and the Fiel Torcedor programme.

Operating costs totalled R$ 202.055m, of which personnel expenses were R$ 149.202m. Non-recurring items came to R$ 38.601m and amortisation of player rights was R$ 26.828m. Financial expenses were R$ 62.739m.
