Corinthians held their penultimate session before facing Santos, sharpening tactics as they chase a ninth league win. According to Meu Timao, Friday morning’s work at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava was the third training ahead of Sunday’s 25th-round meeting.

The day began with strength work in the gym, followed by a pitch warm-up. A small-sided tactical drill with 10 players per team allowed Fernando Diniz to make adjustments and brief the squad on scenarios that could emerge in the derby.

Diniz again had absentees. Centre-forward Yuri Alberto felt pain in his right thigh during fitness transition work and is expected to be rested for Sunday.

There are further doubts. Centre-back André Ramalho, recovering from labyrinthitis, and midfielder André Luiz, who is negotiating a move to Nottingham Forest in England, may also miss out in Itaquera.

There was one boost as left-back Fabrizio Angileri returned to group training after dental surgery.

The Clássico Alvinegro build-up will conclude on Saturday morning at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava. Corinthians host Santos at Neo Química Arena on Sunday at 16:00.
