Corinthians open a two-legged Brasileiro Feminino semi-final against Bahia this week, seeking to mirror their 2025 title run. According to Meu Timao, it is only the second time the clubs have met in a knockout tie.
Their first elimination meeting came in 2025, in the quarter-finals. Corinthians won the away leg 2-1 at Estádio Batistão in Sergipe, with goals from Gabi Zanotti and Gi Fernandes, while Rhaizza scored for Bahia before joining Corinthians in early 2026.
Back in São Paulo, Corinthians won 2-0 at the Estádio do Pacaembu through Erika and Duda Sampaio. They then beat São Paulo 4-2 on aggregate, drew 2-2 in Minas Gerais and won 1-0 at the Neo Química Arena to clinch the crown.
In 2026, the sides drew 1-1 in round 16 just under a month ago. In the quarter-finals, Corinthians eliminated Cruzeiro again, winning 1-0 away and 3-1 at the Canindé.
Bahia advanced by knocking out Palmeiras on penalties at the Arena Barueri.
If Corinthians get past Bahia, they would likely face São Paulo, who won their semi-final first leg against Flamengo 3-1. That path would replicate 2025, when Corinthians secured a seventh Brazilian title.
The first leg is on Tuesday at 21:30 at the Arena Fonte Nova. The return is at the Neo Química Arena next Monday, 21 September, also at 21:30.
