Corinthians rejected a seven million euros offer for right-back Matheuzinho in the last European window and have set a clear strategy for future sales, pricing only their own stake.
According to Meu Timao, buyers must first agree a fee for Corinthians’ share, then negotiate separately with the other rights holders for the remaining percentages.
Matheuzinho joined in early 2024 after Corinthians paid four million euros for 60 per cent from Flamengo. Flamengo retains 32 per cent, with Londrina holding 8 per cent.
The same approach covers Yuri Alberto. Corinthians and Zenit each own 50 per cent, and the club has set 22 million euros for its half, matching the total of Lazio’s last rejected proposal in January.
That bid sought 100 per cent of the striker’s rights and would have yielded around 11 million euros to Corinthians. As 5 per cent of the club’s share belongs to agent André Cury, only 5.5 million euros would have reached the club.
Milan offered up to 17 million euros for 70 per cent of André Luiz, with the player waiving the remaining 30 per cent, but it was rejected.
Marcelo Paz has admitted sales will be needed in the second half to meet projections. The board led by Osmar Stabile, approved by Cori and the Deliberative Council, targets R$ 151 million from player rights in 2026. With no exits so far, Corinthians host Coritiba at Neo Química Arena on 11 March in round five of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
