Corinthians stepped up preparations at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava on Wednesday for Coritiba on 11 at 21:30 at Neo Química Arena. According to Meu Timao, Dorival Júnior’s squad drilled match scenarios and transitions.

The morning began with gym activation, then on-pitch passing work and movement. Transition drills followed, featuring three v two and four v three.

Coaches set an attack v defence exercise with numerical superiority for the forwards. The session closed with a 10 v 10 game on a reduced field.

Jesse Lingard was present, and ge.globo reports he made his first appearance at the facility. He trained only indoors on strength and has not been officially unveiled as the club await paperwork and a work visa.

Corinthians have a 10-day gap after their Paulistão semi-final exit, longer than the eight-day build-up before facing Ponte Preta on 11 January.

Their holidays were cut by the Copa do Brasil win over Vasco da Gama on 21 December at Maracanã, leaving 12 days off. A World Cup-affected calendar brought 15 matches in 48 days, with seven wins, four draws and four defeats, plus the Supercopa Rei.

In 2026, Corinthians still have three fronts, the Brasileirão with 34 rounds to play, the Copa do Brasil from the fifth phase, and the Libertadores. Both competitions begin for them in April.
