Corinthians began preparations on Thursday morning at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava for the Supercopa do Brasil final against Flamengo.

After the 2-1 defeat to Bahia, they left Santos and returned to São Paulo. According to Meu Timao, the club had players stay overnight at the training complex to optimise recovery.

Those who played more than 45 minutes remained indoors for recovery work, as usual at a first session back. The rest went out under coach Dorival Júnior for possession with transitions and a small-sided game.

The team will continue preparations on Friday and Saturday before taking on Flamengo at Mané Garrincha, Brasília, at 16:00 on Sunday.

Corinthians qualified by winning the 2025 Copa do Brasil, while Flamengo reached the Supercopa as Brasileirão champions.

It will be Corinthians' second appearance, having lifted the 1991 edition against this Sunday's opponents. That year, Corinthians had won the points-based tournament and the Rio club claimed the knockout competition.

The Supercopa was staged in 1990 and 1991, then reintroduced in 2020 after almost 30 years away. Flamengo are the record winners with titles in 2020, 2021 and 2025.
