Corinthians stadium opens clinic for neurodevelopmental disorders

Later today, at 7 PM (Brasília time) this Tuesday (24th), the Neo Química Arena, the Corinthians stadium, will host the inauguration of Autivea, a clinic specialized in the treatment and diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD), such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), capable of handling up to 4,000 consultations per month.

The President of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, and Antonio Palocci, a doctor and former Minister of Finance of Brazil, will be present. In a single space, the unit brings together a medical and multidisciplinary team for clinical evaluation, as well as therapeutic definition and daily monitoring of patients. The methodology adopted by the clinic is the concept of “one-stop care,” where different specialties work together following an Individualized Therapeutic Plan (ITP).

The ITP involves sharing clinical information and jointly defining procedures. According to the project management, the intention is to reduce the time between the initial suspicion and the diagnostic confirmation, as well as to offer support to families during treatment: “Receiving a diagnosis is just the beginning of a journey that requires technical guidance and structured follow-up. The integration between specialties allows for greater clinical safety and continuity of care.”

Autivea offers services for children, adolescents, adults, the elderly, and neurodivergent individuals in the areas of adolescent medicine, neurology, psychiatry, and pediatrics, in addition to therapies in social work, nutrition, dentistry, psychology, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy. Moreover, available services include alternative and augmented communication (AAC), with communicator loans, a sensory regulation room, home vaccination, transport from the subway, and legal guidance on rights and benefits.

The institution also plans actions related to parental guidance, continuing education, and integration with the public health network. Autivea aims to reduce the interval between clinical suspicion and diagnosis to less than 60 days, expanding access to specialized care in the region.
