Corinthians supporters back 2027 stay for Thaís Regina | OneFootball

Corinthians supporters want centre-back Thaís Regina to have her contract extended into 2027, according to a poll by Meu Timao. The defender is into the final six months of her deal and can already sign a pre-contract elsewhere.

The vote returned 79.3% in favour of her staying and 20.7% against.

Signed at the start of 2025, she made 30 appearances with four goals and two assists. She formed part of the squads that won the Libertadores and the Brasileirão.

In 2026 she has yet to play after suffering a left ankle fibula injury in pre-season training, which required surgery. She returned to on-pitch work in late May and featured in friendlies against the United States U-23 side.

She is likely to be physically fit in the second half of the year. Fans also backed renewals for goalkeepers Lelê, at 90.9%, and Ana Morganti, at 90.2%. Centre-back Agustina Barroso, at 36.4%, and forwards Ariel Godoi, at 45.9%, and Carol Nogueira, at 10.3%, were viewed as less central for 2027.
