Corinthians are closing in on Flamengo midfielder Allan, 28, for the 2026 campaign after the clubs reached agreement on Monday.

ge.globo reports that Flamengo have agreed to loan him for one season at no fee, with Corinthians covering his wages. The deal carries an option to buy, with no price fixed in the contract.

Allan is due in São Paulo on Tuesday for medical tests and, if he passes, will sign for the Parque São Jorge club.

Talks were revived on Saturday, and club president Osmar Stabile indicated the next steps would be clearer after Sunday’s Derby.

The prospective addition would likely please head coach Dorival Júnior, who has asked for more midfield options since Maycon departed at the end of 2025. Corinthians advanced for São Paulo midfielder Alisson in January, but that move fell through over financial differences.

A product of Internacional, Allan has played in Finland, Belgium, Germany and Cyprus. In Brazil he featured for Fluminense, Atlético-Mineiro, where he was most prominent, and Flamengo, with whom he won the Brasileiro and Copa Libertadores last season.

Corinthians are also close to announcing the return of left-back Fabrizio Angileri for 2026, and are nearing a deal for Moroccan midfielder Zakaria Labyad.
