Corinthians to stage two special shows on club’s founding | OneFootball

Corinthians will stage two special performances of "Os Fundadores - A Origem do Time do Povo" at Teatro Corinthians, Parque São Jorge, during the club’s 116th anniversary celebrations.

The first show starts at 23:59 on 31 August, leading into the 1 September birthday. The second begins at 19:10 on the day itself, a nod to the founding year.

Tickets cost R$ 40 to R$ 80 via the SCCP Ticket website. Corinthians said further dates are planned through October, with details to follow.

Running for around 80 minutes and suitable for all ages, the production also forms part of Parque São Jorge’s centenary festivities, the ground opened in 1926.

The play revisits the club’s birth as a collective endeavour, portraying workers, immigrants, community women and boys from the várzea. It blends theatre, popular rhythms and choreography to tell a story that stretches beyond football.

The show presents Corinthians not only as a team but as a social project whose energy still echoes in the stands, on the streets and across Brazilian culture.
