According to Globo.com, Allan will not be available to head coach Fernando Diniz for Corinthians’ trip to Flamengo on Sunday at 17:30 Brasília time at the Maracanã, in the 27th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.

The midfielder is owned by the Rio club and is on loan to Corinthians until the end of the year.

Corinthians would need to pay a R$ two million fee for him to feature, and the club will not do so. With Diniz likely to field an alternative side, and amid financial strain, they have opted against paying.

Corinthians did not pay a loan fee for Allan but cover 100% of his wages. The deal includes an option to buy set at two million euros, R$ 11.87 million at the current rate.

The 29-year-old will return to the squad against Estudiantes of Argentina next Wednesday at 21:30 Brasília time at Neo Química Arena, the second leg of the Conmebol Libertadores quarter-finals.

Corinthians are winless in four league matches and sit 12th on 32 points. Flamengo lead the Brasileirão with 54.
