According to Coluna Do Fla, Corinthians will be without midfielder Allan against Flamengo on Sunday at the Maracanã, having chosen not to pay the R$ two million loan clause.
The sides meet at 17:30 Brasília time in the 27th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. A likely rotated line-up also weighed on the decision, so Allan will sit out.
Allan is a Flamengo player, on loan to Corinthians until the end of 2026. Corinthians paid no loan fee, but are covering his wages. The agreement includes an option to buy for two million euros, about R$ 11.87 million at current rates.
Allan is expected to return on Wednesday 16, when Corinthians host Estudiantes of Argentina at 21:30 at Neo Química Arena. That tie is the second leg of the Libertadores quarter-finals.
In the league, Corinthians are winless in four rounds and sit 12th on 32 points. Flamengo lead the table on 54 and defend first place going into the match.
