Corinthians supporters handed out low player ratings after the club’s Copa do Brasil exit, despite a 2-1 win over Internacional. According to Meu Timao, the Notas da Torcida poll produced largely poor marks.
Corinthians lost the first leg 2-0 at Beira-Rio, then won 2-1 at Neo Química Arena on Thursday night in the last-16 return.
Centre-back Gustavo Henrique, who scored, topped the list with an average 5.8 and was named fans’ player of the match. Raniele followed with 4.4 and Pedro Raul, also on the scoresheet, posted 4.3. They were the only players to receive above four.
At the other end, André Carrillo was lowest with 1.5, with Dieguinho on 1.6. Hugo Souza and Matheus Pereira each received 1.7. Among the starters, besides the goalkeeper, André Luiz had 1.8, while Rodrigo Garro and Kaio César were given 2.0.
Head coach Fernando Diniz was rated 2.1, and referee Felipe Fernandes de Lima received 1.7. In total, 11,409 evaluations were recorded.
Corinthians now turn to the Campeonato Brasileiro and the Libertadores. Their next match is on Sunday against Red Bull Bragantino in round 22 of the league.
