Corinthians women reach 2m followers during Club World Cup final

Corinthians has achieved an unprecedented feat off the pitch and now occupies a prominent position on the global stage of women's football. During the final of the FIFA Champions Cup, played against Arsenal, the club's official women's team profile surpassed the mark of 2 million followers on Instagram, becoming the largest in the category outside the European continent.

According to data released by the Timão Números profile, Corinthians reached 2,010,888 followers, currently ranking as the sixth most-followed women's football club in the world. Ahead of the Brabas are only five European teams: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal.

This digital growth occurred amid the team's international campaign, which ended with the runner-up finish in the Champions Cup. In the final, Corinthians was defeated by Arsenal 3-2, after a balanced match marked by two draws during regular time and extra time. Before that, the alvinegra team had eliminated Gotham FC from the United States by 1-0 in the tournament's semifinal.

The expansion on social media directly reflects the sporting performance built over the past decade. Since the reactivation of the department, Corinthians has established itself as one of the most successful projects in women's football worldwide. There have been 22 official titles, including six Libertadores, seven Brazilian Championships, one Copa do Brasil, three Supercopas do Brasil, four Campeonato Paulista titles, and one Copa Paulista.

With consistent results on the field and significant growth off it, Corinthians continues to expand its international presence. The next opportunity to add to their trophy gallery will be next Saturday, when the team faces Palmeiras at 4:00 PM (Brasília time), at Arena Barueri, in the Supercopa final.
