Corinthians women set for busiest season since team’s return in 2025

The Corinthians Women's team continues to make history in 2025. With the draw against Ferroviária, 0 x 0, the Brabas have reached 48 completed matches. This is the highest number of games in a single season since the reactivation of the division in 2016.

There were two seasons with the previous record of 47 games: 2017 and 2019. In both years, the Brabas were Libertadores champions but ended up being defeated in the Brasileirão finals, by Santos and Ferroviária, respectively. In 2017, Timão only reached the semifinals of the Paulistão, while in the most recent one, they were champions.

The year 2021 had 48 games played, but with a ‘catch’. The 2020 Libertadores was played the following year due to the pause in football caused by the pandemic. Thus, six matches were actually valid for the previous season. This information is from Meu Timão.

The team led by Lucas Piccinato will further increase this record, due to the ongoing Women’s Paulistão. Corinthians faces Realidade Jovem in the last round of the first phase and, with the lead secured, Timão is also virtually in the semifinals of the championship.

According to the regulations, there are two games in the semifinals, meaning Corinthians will have at least 51 games in this 2025 season. If they advance to the final, there will be two more, totaling 53 matches. The grand final is scheduled for December 14.
