Corinthians’ women intensified work on quick transitions on Tuesday morning, day five of their mid-season camp. The squad are sharpening up for a decisive second half across the Brasileiro, Copa do Brasil, Paulista and Libertadores.

According to Meu Timao, players began in the gym, then Emily Lima led an on-pitch session focused on rapid attacking and defensive transitions and finishing drills. The day ended with a video session emphasising defensive transitions.

There are still absentees. Goalkeeper Lelê remains in treatment after being diagnosed with a tendinopathy in the posterior area of her right thigh. Centre-back Agustina, out since the start of the camp, has begun physical reconditioning with the Health and Performance unit after time away.

On the plus side, two players are back for the rest of the season. Centre-back Thaís Regina and midfielder Juliana Passari have recovered and returned to the pitch, featuring in friendlies against the United States Under-23s at the start of this month.

The Brabas’ next competitive game is on 17 July at 19:00, when they host Ferroviária at Fazendinha in the Paulista fourth round. That schedule gives Lima a little over two weeks to step up preparation and tidy the final details before a demanding sequence of fixtures.
