Corinthians Women’s youth chief eyed by surprise club for 2025

After being approached by Grêmio, according to information from Lance! and União SCCP Feminino, the women's football base coordinator at Corinthians, Rafael Esteves, has attracted interest from Mirassol – the sensation club in 2025 – which has already initiated talks with the director. The information was reported by the page Fut das Minas.

Moreover, according to the portal Meu Timão, there are currently only discussions between the two parties. Recently, Mirassol started the women's football department after the men's team secured a spot in the 2026 Conmebol Libertadores, finishing fourth in the last Brasileirão.

In an interview with Meu Timão, Rafa Esteves stated: “I am linked to Corinthians and, until then, I continue to fulfill my commitments with the institution”, she said. The professional has been in the women's youth categories at Corinthians since March 2024 after four years being part of the management of the women's football department at Ferroviária.

The coordinator is responsible for managing the youth department of the sport, dealing with contractual issues, bureaucracies, structures, and internal aspects of the club. While receiving inquiries, the director remains active in planning the women's youth team at Corinthians, participating in arrivals, departures, and renewals. In 2025, the Brabas won the Brasileirão Sub-17 against Grêmio, crowning the work that has been done each year in the lower categories.
