Rafael Munford reaches 100 games for Corinthians Basquete

The forward Rafael Munford reached the milestone of 100 matches wearing the Corinthians jersey. This achievement was recorded last Thursday, during Timão's defeat to Minas by 92 to 74, in a match valid for the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB).

Even starting the game on the bench, Munford had a significant contribution in the match held at Parque São Jorge. The number 14 was the third top scorer of the team, scoring 11 points, behind only Davaunta Thomas, with 20, and Victão, with 13, besides contributing with three rebounds. In his hundredth appearance for the club, the player was on the court for just over 11 minutes.

At 27 years old, Rafael Munford is in his second season defending Corinthians. So far, the forward has accumulated 54 wins and 46 losses for the club, with averages of 11 points, 5.5 rebounds, and one assist per game. The athlete has his contract renewed until the end of the current season.

With the setback against Minas, Corinthians remained with 32 points on the NBB table and dropped to sixth place, potentially falling to the tenth position, depending on the other results of the round. The two teams will face each other again in the quarterfinals of the Super 8 Cup, in a match scheduled for January 25.

Timão returns to the court next Saturday, January 10. At 4 p.m., the Parque São Jorge team will host Cruzeiro at the Wlamir Marques Gymnasium, in a match valid for the 21st round of the NBB 2025/26.
