Bayern Munich have no intention of selling Luis Diaz in the summer transfer window.

Diaz joined the German champions from Liverpool in a big-money deal last summer and enjoyed an outstanding campaign, helping the club win the Bundesliga title.

The Colombian registered 26 goals and 23 assists across all competitions for Bayern last season and also impressed for Colombia at the World Cup.

Luis Diaz: Is he heading towards Bayern exit?

This month, Diaz has been linked with a shock move away from Bayern.

It has been reported that Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal are working on a deal to sign Diaz from Bayern this summer.

The Saudi club have made Diaz their priority signing this summer, and it has been suggested that the winger is open to a move.

Al-Hilal are thought to be working on an initial bid worth at least €70m, but Bayern have no intention of selling him.

Christian Falk has exclusively told CFBayern Insider that Diaz is happy at Bayern, while Jan Christian-Dreesen, the Bayern CEO, has made it clear that it would be crazy to sell him.

Falk said: “It is NOT TRUE: Bayern Munich could sell Luis Diaz to the Saudi Pro League. Everyone loves Diaz in Munich just as much as everyone loved him at Liverpool (if not more!). His name is Lucho, he’s from Barrancas – and he won’t leave FC Bayern!

“I talked to both sides and found out that there has been no concrete offer from Al-Hilal. It’s also not true that there was a verbal agreement struck between the Colombian and the Saudi outfit. He’s very happy at Bayern Munich. Also, Jan Christian-Dreesen, the Bayern CEO, made it clear that it would be crazy for the club to sell Diaz this summer, as Bayern have a very good squad and the winger is a key part of it.”

Luis Diaz future: Bayern winger going nowhere

Diaz has been integral to Vincent Kompany’s plans. The attacking trio of him, Harry Kane and Michael Olise have wrecked havoc last season.

Falk has clearly confirmed that there has been no concrete offer from Al-Hilal, and even if they come up with a bid, Bayern are set to reject.

Bayern meanwhile have bolstered their forward department this summer by signing Ismael Saibari, who impressed for Morocco during the World Cup.
