Coulibaly departs Bremen for Racing Strasbourg | OneFootball

Werder Bremen confirmed this morning that Karim Coulibaly has left the club to join Racing Strasbourg in France.

Strasbourg, Chelsea's feeder club, have secured the highly rated German central defender.

Coulibaly became a regular in the Bundesliga last season, featuring in more than 27 matches and scoring one goal.

The U-21 international was briefly linked with Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, but interest cooled after mid-season struggles.

The base fee is reportedly €20 million for the youngster, who arrived at Bremen on a free transfer from Hamburger SV in 2024.

There will be no bonuses, with a 10 percent sell-on clause agreed instead, contrary to initial assumptions.
