Coventry City have completed the signing of experienced goalkeeper Dan Bentley from Wolves on a two-year contract.

The 33-year-old brings Premier League and Championship experience to Frank Lampard’s side, who are preparing for their return to the top flight.

Bentley’s move brings an end to his three-and-a-half-year spell at Molineux, where he made 17 first-team appearances after joining in January 2023.

Primarily used as a back-up at Wolves, Bentley provided valuable experience and leadership within the dressing room. He started their opening two competitive games this season, keeping a clean sheet against Port Vale in the Carabao Cup before playing the full 90 minutes in a 2-2 draw with Blackburn.

At Coventry, Bentley is expected to provide experienced cover for first-choice goalkeeper Carl Rushworth.
