The Coupe de France will undergo a rebranding from the 2025-2026 season following a naming rights agreement with Crédit Agricole, the French Football Federation (FFF) confirmed on Saturday.
FFF president Philippe Diallo revealed the deal just hours before the 2024 Coupe de France final between Paris Saint-Germain and Stade de Reims at the Stade de France, describing it as a “major financial step forward” for the domestic cup competition. The three-year agreement is set to bring in “well over €10 million”, although the exact figure has not been disclosed.
The agreement marks the first-ever naming deal in the competition’s history, with the cup set to be renamed the Coupe de France Crédit Agricole. Founded in 1918, the knockout tournament has until now retained a traditional, sponsor-free title.
Naming rights are present elsewhere in French football – Ligue 1 has been branded since 2002, most recently with Uber Eats (2020-2024) and currently McDonald’s, beginning this season.
With the current Coupe de France broadcast deal – jointly held by beIN Sports and France Télévisions – yielding around €12 million per season until 2026, Diallo expressed hope that the rebrand would help boost TV rights revenues, which have declined in recent years. A new broadcast tender is scheduled to launch in autumn 2025.
