Serie A referee Davide Massa lived up to expectations in Sunday’s showdown between bottom-half Cremonese and table-topping Inter Milan.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 44-year-old made every crucial decision accurately, keeping the game fully under control.
Inter eased past Davide Nicola’s side at Stadio Giovanni Zini, strolling to a 2-0 victory, their seventh consecutive away league win.
Therefore, the Nerazzurri will spend the night eight points clear of second-placed AC Milan, who take on Bologna at Stadio Renato Dall’Ara on Tuesday.

Davide Massa showed three second-half yellow cards to the home players.
Indeed, it was an intense content, producing 32 fouls in total.
However, Massa refused to point to the spot when Francesco Pio Esposito went to the ground in the 41st minute.
It was the 20-year-old who committed the foul, and not the other way around.
Therefore, Massa’s decision not to award Inter a penalty was spot-on.
Meanwhile, the game had to hit a pause button for a few minutes in second-half stoppages due to a firecracker incident.
