The French FA has announced that France’s two final friendly games before flying out to their Boston World Cup base camp would be played at Nantes’ Stade de la Beaujoire and Lille’s Stade Pierre-Mauroy. Those fixtures would be Didier Deschamps’ last two games played on home soil as France manager. Deschamps will put at end to a 14-year tenure as Les Bleus’ boss at the end of the 2026 World Cup. The French FA has reportedly paved the groundwork for Zinédine Zidane’s arrival as France’s next manager.

France will host an African national team which took part in the AFCON at Nantes on Thursday, June 4. France’s final rehearsal before the World Cup will be held at Lille the following Monday against an unidentified team. French FA president Philippe Diallo said that France’s opponents will hinge on the European play-off matches for World Cup qualification.
