Cremonese are back in Serie A after two seasons.

The Grigiorossi beat Spezia 3-2 away in the second leg of the playoff final after the first leg had ended 0-0.

Manuel De Luca was decisive, scoring twice (in the 25th and 79th minute) and Michele Collocolo (who doubled in the 62nd minute).

In the final minutes, Spezia tried to make a comeback with goals from Francesco Esposito in the 83rd minute and Luca Vignali in the 85th minute.

A draw would have been enough for the Ligurians (if the result had remained balanced even after 120 minutes) to be promoted by virtue of their best placing in the ‘regular season’ of Serie B: they had finished third while the Lombards had finished in fourth place.

Cremonese, therefore, is the third team newly promoted to Serie A 2025/26 after Sassuolo and Pisa.
