Cristiano Ronaldo has been backed to swap football for the big screen in retirement, with Oscars talk surfacing, though the Al-Nassr forward, 40, remains active.
He has lifted the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, the Champions League and the European Championship, and has five Ballons d'Or. In interviews with Hochgepokert and PokerScout respectively, Emmanuel Petit and Dwight Yorke argued he could thrive in film.
“Could Cristiano Ronaldo end up being a huge movie star? Definitely.” “The Oscars? One day.”
“It would be good to see Cristiano Ronaldo in one of these major films like Fast and Furious, if that is true. To me, it's a no-brainer.”
Ronaldo remains under contract at Al-Nassr until 2027 and has not set a retirement date. He is expected to captain Portugal at this summer’s World Cup, with targets still on his agenda before any post-football plans. Some have tipped him to play on towards his 50th birthday.
