Al Nassr are champions of Saudi Arabia for the first time in seven years, Cristiano Ronaldo adding the Roshn Saudi League crown - finally - to top-flight titles he’s captured in England, Spain and Italy.
The Riyadh club came through a test-of the-nerves season finale against Damac in style on Thursday night at a sellout Al Awwal Park, when goals from Sadio Mane, Kingsley Coman and a Ronaldo double - of course - sealed an emphatic 4-1 win.
For Al Nassr, given the wait and the weight, they justifiably celebrated wildly at the final whistle. Just like the 26,000 packed inside their home arena, as Ronaldo and Co were serenaded for delivering the big one.
Last champions in 2018-19, Al Nassr now have their name etched on the 2025-26 trophy, Ronaldo his first at the fourth time of asking.
The Portuguese superstar ended the match not only with a brace - his first a fierce free-kick to make it 3-1 - but in commandeering the ultras’ famous giant drum and baying the stadium to march to his beat.
By the finish, Ronaldo’s 28 RSL goals this term were not quite enough for a third successive golden boot; that went to Al Qadsiah’s Julian Quinones following a final-day hat-trick at now-disposed champions Al Ittihad.

However, the five-time Ballon d’Or should not mind. At last, he had the trophy he always craved. Al Nassr, who in crushing fashion rendered redundant Al Hilal’s result at Al Fayha, are Saudi champions.
Ronaldo, some time after that trailblazing transfer in late 2022, had his crowning glory.
