There’s a new Bianconera in town, and another Spaniard - Cristina Libran is the latest addition to Juventus Women, with the highly rated teenage midfielder signing a contract with the club until 30 June, 2028.
Libran, who turned 19 in January, arrives from Madrid CFF, one of Europe’s top youth academies.
Hailing from San Sebastian de los Reyes, on the outskirts of Madrid, she progressed rapidly through the ranks after joining the club at a young age and, impressively, made her first-team debut in 2021 aged just 15.
Libran has always operated in midfield and is known for her technical quality, game management, tactical awareness, and showing a maturity well beyond her years. Her ability to control play and dictate the pace of games caught the eye early on and have been huge in her rise at club and international level.
Cristina currently captains Spain’s Under-19s and recently helped them win their fourth consecutive UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship. She scored the opening goal in their 4-0 win over France in the final, underlining her ability to step up on the biggest stage.
"I'm really pleased and excited to be here and to have chosen this project," Libran said upon signing her contract. "Juventus is a huge club, and I'm happy to be Bianconera.
"I'm a player who likes to work hard and I always look to give my all in both the attacking and defensive phases of the game. In attack I look to find space to get into, I have vision and I love having the ball at my feet, even in tricky situations.
"Tactically I think I have the right characteristics to calmly navigate my way through different in-game situations."
This move marks her first venture away from Spain, and the Bianconere have secured one of the most promising young midfielders in European football.
Welcome to Turin, Cristina!
